Winter Semester Begins January 10th, 2014

Hello,

I am very pleased with how "Act II of The Nutcracker" turned out! The dancers did amazing!! Thank you to all who helped!!!

I look forward to seeing my students back in class on January 10th, 2014 and the semester will run through March 21st. This semester will be focused on technique and creative movement in contemporary ballet. Please inform me if your child is NOT going to continue, where I have limited spots available. If you are a new student please contact me and I will email you a registration form or you are welcome to pick it up at my home. I would encourage students to continuously dance year round (all 3 semesters) to increase their technique and performing abilities. Please contact me with any questions.

Tuition

Tuition will be divided into trimesters

Winter: January-March

Spring: April-June

Fall: September-November

Summer: to be annouced

*Tuition fee covers the ENTIRE trimester (12 weeks)

Creative Movement: ages 3 and 4

Ballet II: ages 9-10

Ballet III: ages 11-12 and teen

Registration forms and payment must be turned to hold a spot for your student.

*Families with more than 1 child enrolled may take $5 off per child.

DO NOT SEND ACTUAL CARD NUMBER AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT TO YOU AS AN EMAIL AND YOU WILL ENTER THE CARD INFORMATION.

Dance Class Uniforms

Please write your name on all dance wear

IF A STUDENT IS MOVED UP THEY MAY CONTINUE TO WEAR THEIR EXSISTING COLORS UNTIL THEY GROW OUT OF IT

Girls:
All ages light pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers (split sole for 10+ if desired), and short sleeve leotard (see color by ages below).

ages 3-6 short sleeve Pink Leotard
ages 7-10 short or cap sleeve Lavender Leotard
ages 11+ short or cap sleeve Black Leotard

Black ballet skirts optional

Hair: Tidy and up off face and neck.

Boys:
White T-shirt and sweatpants and black ballet shoes for boys

*Please have dance wear before the first day of class.

Leotards
Pink Short Sleeve, For ages s 3-6
Lavender Short Sleeve, For ages 7-10
Black Short Sleeve or Cap Sleeve
For ages 11 and up

Pink Tights

Shoes
I really like the Bloch ballet slipper or the Theatricals Economy ballet slipper
For split soled I like the Capezio

Optional: Wrap Around Black Skirts or Pull On Skirt

*Sizing note for ballet slippers. Shoes should fit securely around foot, not too tight but not too loose.
Child sizes go up to about 2 and child size ballet slippers are real close to their street shoe size. Above 2.5 they would purchase in the adult section. Please see child conversion chart

Suggested Fitting:
Women order 2½-3 sizes smaller than street size

Converting Child to Adult Sizes
First increase the child street shoe size by two. Then follow the suggested fitting for the adult shoe you are purchasing.

*An example for sizing the child to adult. Your daughter wears a size 3 in big kids size so you would first convert that to adult women's street size making it a 5, then you would convert it down 2.5-3 sizes for the ballet sizing. So you would buy a a size 2 or 2 1/2 in women's ballet shoes.
